We have learned from wand worked with trainers from all around the world that specialize in behaviour modification, socialization and elite level dog sports.
Apprenticeship Program
8 Day Program (68 Hours)
May 13 - May 20, 2024
Our Apprenticeship program is perfect for those of you who are considering becoming a professional trainer, walker or daycare attendant. If you are interested in advancing your personal handling skills or are looking to start a career in the dog industry, this is the perfect opportunity. If you are having trouble starting up your current business, we will teach you how to successfully and safely grow your company. During your time with us, you will gain insider knowledge of the dog training industry and will receive a comprehensive education in the skills and day-to-day operations employed by our professional trainers. We will have 8 spots available for this apprenticeship, and all participants will be working with our kennel dogs daily. The dogs will vary in difficulty.

The temperament of your average dog is changing. Over the years, more and more owners have chosen to “adopt not shop”, preferring to rescue strays and shelter dogs over going through breeders. More recently—thanks to the pandemic and the high-demand for canine companionship—many have also gone the route of adopting from unsanctioned breeders, resulting in some interesting genetic makeup.
Many of these dogs weren’t bred for a life of companionship and domestication, and so come with a host of traits and behaviours that are unfamiliar to those accustomed to a certain type of dog.
We’ve created this program to provide direct, in-depth counselling and workshops with our canine behavioural specialists. With this program, you will be given the tools and resources necessary to service all dogs.
